Summer Solstice ~ Litha ~ Energy of Divine Masculine

When Sun reaches its highest point in the sky on the Summer Solstice ~ Litha, around June 21st, we are bathed in the apex of light, on this longest day of the year. From this luminous source we can feel into the essences of courage, confidence and empowerment, often recognized as traits connected to the divine masculine. Naturally, I don’t mean “masculine” in terms of gender, but in terms of the inherent energetic dynamics that all humans possess and the way they manifest throughout one’s life.

As you develop deeper awareness of your feminine and masculine polarities you become better able to create a sense of emotional balance within. On a physical level connecting with the divine solar force can be felt as warmth on your skin, renewed vitality, and more alert thinking. On a spiritual level, the energy can be sensed as inner-warmth, courage, confidence, and hope.

I wanted to share some flower remedies that provide support in strengthening the divine masculine underpinning of your spirit, inclusive of all gender identities and expressions.

Mimulus Mimulus Guttatus – Anytime you feel fear and can name the cause, Mimulus is the flower of choice. No matter how big or small the dread, the transformation is that of courage, with an ability to undertake challenges, without apprehension.

Larch Larix Decidua – When you catch yourself comparing yourself to others and feel “not good enough,” this ally squashes self-doubt and allows you to step forward with certainty. As you embrace your talents, you become empowered to display your gifts with confidence and ease.

Sunflower Helianthus Annus – When you feel depleted and unable to connect with your inner-light, you can turn towards this solar-infused flower. As you accept the energy offered, you emerge with a dynamic presence and catalyze the transformation of any toxic masculine tendencies.

Hornbeam Carpinus Betulus – That Monday morning feeling, slow and sluggish without the will to get going, is the keynote of Hornbeam. The transformation, a healthy dose of motivation for your day-to-day activities and greater awareness of each moment as an opportunity for inspiration.

Gorse Ulex Europaeus – You can look towards Gorse when a deep sense of sorrow exists and your ability to see what is good about life is dimmed. As the radiant energy of this flower washes over you, there is a newfound sense of inner-strength and optimism, as if the clouds have parted to reveal a brighter day.
